MacX.400 1.0 is 84 MTA which supports X.25 (TP0) and Ethernet (TP4).
The retail products comes in two flavors: MacX.400 and MacX.400 SD.
MacX.400 supports up to 50 adjacent MTAs and routes. MacX.400 SD is a single domain version limited to one adjacent MTA. It's a low cost solution for connecting to a backbone or a public carrier.
MacX.400 has so far been certified by Sprint (US), MCI (US), Atlas (France), DBP (Germany), Arcom (Swiss).
Interoperability includes Retix, IBM, DEC, HP (OSInet), SoftSwitch, Osiware.
MacX.400 also offers a developement toolkit available from APDA (Apple Developer Association). The toolkit offers a simple API for implementing gateways and UAs. The toolkit hides most of the P1/P2 complexity by providing a high level letter metaphor.
Third parties provide gateways as well as UAs. Among them are Intercon (QuickMail/X.400) and StarNine (MSMail/X.400).
