This messaging server implements a X.400/92 MTA and a X.400/88 MS offering X.25 and TCP/IP connections for P1, P3, P7 protocols. APS (X.445) connection is also available for P7 access to MS.
X.500 Directory providing a corporate mail directory to mail subscribers is available with this server.
Supported platforms are: AIX, HP_UX, SCO, Solaris, Windows NT (Intel PC).
This messaging server is available on UNIX and OS/2. P1 protocol is supported on X.25 and on RFC1006. UAs are available on Windows and OS/2.
The Microsoft Mail interface 3.2 (available for free in Windows for Workgroup) can be connected to the X.400 server, using the MXMS MAPI provider product, which is an X.400 mail driver for Ms-Mail. The mail driver implements P7 and DAP protocols over APS, RFC1006 or X25.
MARBEN provides also MXMS MAPI Provider for Windows 95 on Extended MAPI (MAPI 1) providing native X.400 access to Ms-Exchange client.
For large X.400 installations, a control center is provided to manage all the MXMS network servers (directories updates and synchronizations, routing tables alarm handling, log management).
MARBEN's servers are also able to send SNMP traps to any SNMP manager (OpenView, Netview, SUN Net Manager...) if alarms occur.
