This source code product written in portable C language includes :

MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP (Symmetric Multi-Processing) takes advantage of symmetric multiprocessor technologies in order to provide a high throughput X.400 message router. Running on a multiprocessor system, MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP is designed to perform many X.400 operations in parallel, such as sending, receiving and routing X.400 messages.

MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP highlights:

• Performance: OSIAM X.400 for SMP breaks today's performance barrier and opens a whole new world for messaging applications. With a four Intel-486 processors machine, OSIAM X.400 for SMP is able to switch up to 300 messages per seconds.
  
• Scaleability: To take advantage of today's high performing computer systems, OSIAM X.400 for SMP uses the target operating systems shared memory processing across single or multiple processors. This integration allows for efficient load balancing between processors as they are selected and used dynamically. This design allows OSIAM X.400 for SMP to scale from one processor up to 64 without any change in the software or its configuration.
  
• Management: Like all MARBEN OSIAM products, MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP includes a comprehensive management system which provides access to an extensive list of system parameters. Access is also provided to manage alarms, collect and manage billing dockets and for detailed trouble shooting on system or message routing problems. This management is accessible through the SNMP protocol.
  
• Portability: MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP is completely written in portable C langage and is designed to be easily ported on any operating system environment which provides shared memory and a fast inter-process communication mechanism between processes.
  
• Compatible and compliant: MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP is the center of many mission critical applications. MARBEN OSIAM X.400 for SMP includes support for all 1992 standards including P1, P2, P3, P22, PEDI, 1984 downgrading and all XAPI application programming interfaces. The product is fully SNMP manageable and can communicate over LANs and WANs using any OSI Transport or TCP/IP.
