SunLink X.400 is an implementation of the 1988 OSI/CCIT X.400 specifications. SunLink X.400 provides a message transfer agent (MTA) and a gateway between X.400 and SMTP-MIME.

SunLink X.400 features the following:

. Graphical user interface for easy configuration and administration . X/Open APIs (XAPIA, PEDI) for development of messaging and EDI applications. . provided with a X.400/SMTP-MIME gateway that allows multimedia exchanges between UNIX and other email systems via X.400. . Supports concurrent connections over TCP/IP, OSI and X.25. . Conforms to US GOSIP V2.

SunLink X.400 is the cornerstone for building open messaging network, in addition SunLink X.400 provides APIs that allow the development of messaging and EDI applications, and a SMTP-MIME gateway that allows to connect UNIX to other email systems via X.400.

SunLink X.400 is currently used by major telcos, government agencies, banks and industry leaders.
