Description: The Zoomit VINES 400 RTS product connects Banyan networks to any mainframe, mini-computer network, proprietary LAN, or public access E-Mail network with an X.400 compliant gateway. The VINES 400 RTS runs as a service on a Banyan server and end users anywhere on the Banyan network are then provided with access to the X.400 gateway. The VINES 400 RTS supports the following message transports: TP.0 (X.25), and TCP/IP (RFC1006). The product is fully integrated with Banyan StreetTalk and STDA.

Zoomit's SMTP Dual Stack product, included as part of the RTS product, adds the TCP/IP (SMTP) protocol stack to the OSI stack to provide direct, one point access to SMTP mail for all of your VINES and X.400 users. To the outside world your end users can have both X.400 addresses and easy-to-use SMTP addresses. MIME, UUENCODE/DECODE are also supported.
